An Idea Born of Necessity
The Baby Bath GateTM is the brainchild of Susan Solan, a municipal court judge and mother of three, who developed The Baby Bath gate after her daughter was injured while bathing. "Every night she'd crawl down toward the faucet and fixtures to play with them. I'd slide her to the back of the tub, and she would work her way forward again. It was a nightly bath time struggle and not fun for either of us. When my daughter chipped her tooth on the tub faucet, I felt terrible. I looked for a functional solution, and none was available. What I needed was a barrier."
The Baby Bath Gate is the result of two years of research and collaboration with design engineers to create this elegantly simple bath time safety device.
Unique Technology and Innovative Features
The Baby Bath Gate has several unique technological and engineering features. The two adjustable, self-locking rod assemblies are made of extruded and injection molded engineering plastics that are lightweight and extremely sturdy. The rod ends swivel and self-adjust to standard tub angles, enabling the specialized non-slip elastomeric pads to hold the gate firmly in place. The vinyl coated polyester mesh of The Baby Bath Gate is tear, shrink and mildew resistant.
